Villa Ornella is located in a 4700 square meter area. The outward appearance of the villa is sober and discreet thanks to the variety of hedges and timber trees of the park. The different gardens of the park have a blend of Alpine and Mediterranean vegetation.
It is an exclusive independent villa of considerable dimensions. It was built on 4 staggered floors which follow the natural downward slope of the hill offering spectacular views of the lake and the mountain chain.
Its structure and the big stones used, both internally and externally, remind of the waterfall house, best known as the Kaufmann House by F. L. Wright in Pennsylvania.
The villa has many spacious rooms (11), which include two lounges with stone fireplaces, a pizza's room with wood stove, various access rooms and 7 bathrooms. It has a separate independent area designed for guests or concierge as well as three garages.
Inside the property there is a semi-Olympic heated swimming pool with changing room, showers, bathroom and storage rooms for pool equipments. The villa, in a panoramic position overlooking the lake and the whole village below, offers extraordinary views of the lake and the surrounding mountains.

It's among the most famous property in the town as a former residence of the brothers Carlo and Niccolò Mornati, world and Olympic champions rowing with the famous silver medal at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. The property is located halfway between the charming town of Lecco and the center of Lake Como (Varenna, Menaggio and Bellaggio) and more precisely in Mandello del Lario. This last town is one of the most fascinating on the lake, with many tourist services and , is also famous for being the birthplace of the historic and still active Moto Guzzi motorcycle house that attracts tourists each year to its Museum.
